HERE IT COMES

Can you feel the fire coming over the hill?! This is a revision of an older piece that I loved. Now that I have been making some progress in my painting, I see where it needed some adjustments. This is truly a real "Geri's" art work from her soul. I like it so much, that I think I will take the leap and enter it into some upcoming shows.
It measures 16" x 20" on stretched canvas.

Whiskeytown Lake

Would you believe a town is buried under that magnificient lake?! It was only a few minutes drive from my previous home and I did not find the time to go out there often enough. Now, ofcourse, I wish I had. I don't see too much water here in Tucson , Arizona! Painting glorious places where I've been feeds my soul.
This painting measures 11"x14" and is on quality archival canvas board.

Snow Passage

This is what an artist paints when she wants to cool off in this Arizona heat. The rains finally came.......Yipppeeee........I tried to warm up some of the cool blue snow with oranges and yellows, but the camera didn't bring those colors out, darn it.
This measures 16" x 20" on stretched canvas.

Little banditos

This little piece was done as a study of temperature changes in shadow. My mentor, Phil Starke, was very pleased with it, as was I. To paint is such an explorative adventure, not only in the subject matter but also in learning about oneself!
It measures 10"x8" on quality archival canvas board and sells for $695.
Side note: Would you believe after two years moving to Tucson, that I finally finished with my house and studio and have all my paintings finally hung on my walls?! Ah, now I can settle in.......and paint without distractions. ( Yea, right).
