FIRST SNOW

Well, well, well....snow in the desert of Tucson, Arizona! I spotted this little guy enjoying it. I sure enjoyed painting it. This picture measures 11"x 14" on quality canvas board. Hope you like it.

HOLIDAY FLOWER

How appropriate to paint a poinsettia at this time of year. This one was sitting on my dinning table just begging me to paint it!

"MISTY MOUNTAIN": A WINNER!

This was chosen as a show entry at the upcoming Boyce Thompson Arboretum and for the APAP show in Tubac in February. It was so difficult to paint on site due to the continuous clouds rolling over the mountain top obscuring my shapes. It made for a very interesting piece. Go figure!
It measures 11" x 14" on quality archival canvas board.

Arboretum

Have you ever visited an arboretum? Me neither. This painting was done at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona . I wasn't happy with it at first, trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I finally figured out that the sky peaking through the trees was the wrong value ( much to light). Art is nothing but a continual learning process. This painting measures 14" x 11" on quality archival canvas board.
I am working on another painting done at the same location ( a mountain scene) that was accepted for an upcoming show...Stay toned!
